Trust South African great AB de Villiers to continue adding to the ever-growing array of shots used in limited overs cricket when he employed what can be best described as a ''reverse hook shot'' in the Proteas' ODI clash with New Zealand.

After quickly flipping his bat into ''reverse mode'', de Villiers adjusted to a slower ball from Kiwi Trent Boult and played a left-handed hook shot while still in a right-handed batting stance.
If it looks strange, it’s because it is.
Boult looked baffled and even Australian umpire Paul Reiffel appeared a little surprised.
