That's all from us today!

The end of an era and the end of many people's childhoods across the globe.

John Cena is officially retired. Who will stand up and fill the void?

After the match, CM Punk and Cody Rhodes come into the ring and hand over their respective world titles to Cena, allowing him to have one final moment of glory.

Wrestlers and staff all come out to ringside as Cena soaks in the love from the fans.

A video package reflecting on his 23-year career is shown as Cena becomes visibly emotional inside the ring with tears in his eyes.

Once the tribute ends, Cena takes off his shoes and trademark wristbands, leaves them in the ring and walks up the aisle, saluting the fans for the last time.

And with that, the end of WWE's version of Superman comes to an end.

GUNTHER HAS DEFEATED AND RETIRED JOHN CENA!

After escaping the sleeper hold on countless occasions, Cena taps out to Gunther.

The crowd has reacted in pure shock as Gunther celebrates.

Gunther locks in a sleeper hold over and over again, but Cena refuses to tap out.

Every time Cena breaks out of it, Gunther goes straight back to the submission.

He finally gets out of it and his an AA but again, Gunther kicks out and immediately locks in the sleeper hold for what seems like the 50th time.

Cena hits the AA off the top rope but Gunther kicks out at two!

"Everything but the kitchen sink has now been thrown at Gunther and it simply has not been enough," Wade Barrett said on commentary.

This is tremendous stuff from both athletes.

Cena hits the Attitude Adjustment on Gunther through the announce table!

The crowd has absolutely exploded for the retiring legend.

Gunther dominates the early exchanges and lays in the chops to his rival's chest.

Cena finally rallies back and hits the patented Five-Knuckle Shuffle.

He then locks in the STFU submission hold, but Gunther crawls out it.

High drama early in this main event bout.

Here we go!

"Does Cena have one more big fight left him?" Michael Cole asks on commentary.

Gunther has made his way out to the ring and the crowd are firmly against him.

Now it's over to Cena, who makes one final trademark entrance.

One final salute for cameraman Stu. One final run down the ramp. One final moment to soak in the adulation from the WWE universe.

A little bit of fun before Cena makes his way out.

Long-time rival The Miz takes the microphone and blows up over not being included as part of Cena's farewell tour, only to be interrupted by R-Truth.

Joe Hendry then comes out and the babyfaces take out The Miz, paying homage to the retiring legend with a pair of five-knuckle shuffle moves.

Some light comedy before the main event.
