'Sign the contract, big boy': Tim Tszyu sends warning to rival after dominant win over Joey Spencer

Tim Tszyu has returned in style, earning a dominant fourth-round TKO win over Joey Spencer in Newcastle on Sunday afternoon.

The former world champ bounced back from two-straight losses in 2024 and looked a class above against the tough American.

Tszyu was steady in the early stages, but started to pile on the pressure in the third round, leaving Spencer with bruising around his eye.

Like a shark smelling blood in the water, Tszyu continued to pressure Spencer in the fourth round and landed some ruthless flurries up against the ropes.

Spencer's team ultimately threw in the towel as Tszyu moved to 25-2 for his career.

Up next on the agenda for the Aussie superstar looks to be Keith Thurman, with Tszyu asked about potentially squaring off against the American veteran.

"Sign the contract, big boy," Tszyu said.

"If that's what the fans want. We'll put on a big show here."

A clash with Thurman would be 18 months in the making should it come to fruition later this year and would likely be in Sydney or Newcastle.

Shawn Porter was quizzed about how Tszyu would fare against the brash American and made his opinions clear.

"He was ready for Thurman [last year]," he said on the Main Event panel.

That experience that he had against Bakhram Murtazaliev was necessary. The entire team, I think it's a good thing that they had two big lessons that they had to learn.

"Based on those two lessons, it's got him ready for the moment.

"I'm super proud of him. He handled the way he should have and everything went his way tonight. To see his family rally around him ... it's super important.

Tszyu also said he would "love to" face off against Sebastian Fundora in a bid to earn revenge for last year's devastating world title defeat.
