The undercard to Tim Tszyu’s blockbuster fight against Errol Spence has been rocked by the cancellation of a second fight in as many weeks.

A statement from promoters No Limit on Saturday morning announced the fight between Stephen Fulton Jr and Aussie Liam Wilson had been cancelled after the American failed to make weight.

Last Saturday, fellow American Jermall Charlo’s fight against Aussie Koen Mazoudier was cancelled after the American was denied a visa.

At the weigh-in, Fulton Jr tipped the scales for what was supposed to be a super featherweight fight at 63.2kg (139.5lbs). The agreed weight was 60.3kg (133lbs).

Barely 24 hours earlier, the maximum weight for the fight had been increased from 58.9kg (130lbs) following a request from the American, who was already facing accusations he never had any intention of making weight.

Fulton Jr also failed to make weight for his last fight against O’Shaquie Foster, weighing 900g (2lbs) over.

Fulton Jr asked for the weight to be increased as early as last week before flying to Australia.

“Before I flew out here, I said something about it,” Fulton said per Fox Sports.

“It was behind closed doors and [No Limit] said ‘try to make the weight’. So that’s what I did.

In announcing the fight’s cancellation, No Limit also announced the Paulo Aokuso-Luis Tejeda fight would be moved to the main card.
