College gridiron coaches rap about recruits
Brigham Young University’s football coaches have celebrated snaring several prize high school recruits by rapping about each of them.
The Mormon college in Utah picked up a number of three-star prospects and added some incredible size to their offensive line in the form of Motekiai Langi, a 201cm, 186kg lineman.
They celebrated the additions in a series of videos that they posted on Youtube.
“6’8 and 410 (pounds)…you gon’ play two-gap, maybe three,” the rhyme in honour of Langi begins.
The Tongan man mountain was not the only recruit the staff sang in honour of, with Beau Hodge and Zayne Anderson also the subject of raps.
Despite appearances, the videos were not a result of a few celebratory drinks following signing day because of the Mormon school’s strict no alcohol policy, a fact one of the BYU coaches proudly sings about in a rap.
“Cause everybody is going to see this here, and wonder how cause we don’t drink beer,” he sings.
