Young fan steals the hearts of ice hockey fans

Those who agree with the notion that you should never work with children or animals haven’t met this little champion.

This young boy’s joy at being lauded by the crowd at a Detroit Red Wings ice hockey match is unbridled.

Once he realises his appearance on the jumbotron elicits cheering from those at the NHL match, our little friends hams it up for all it’s worth.

Other (adult) fans at the game are given short shrift by the crowd when they appear – there is only one face the people want to see.

The players from the visiting Anaheim Ducks team stood no chance.

The only problem for the parents of this youngster will be trying to get a smile like that out of him on Christmas Day.

That’s gonna have to be one impressive present.
