Former NFL great Chad 'Ochocinco' Johnson saves Twitter follower from eviction with selfless act

Retired NFL star Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson has saved one of his Twitter followers from eviction, paying his rent after learning the fan was doing it tough.

The former Cincinnati Bengals receiver makes no secret of his charitability and love for helping others, and on Saturday night he extended that good nature to a struggling fan who reached out on social media.

Asking his 3.3 million followers how their “Friday was going”, Ochocinco became aware that one of his fans was on the verge of being evicted from home.

The NFL favourite didn’t need to hear anymore.

Ochocinco promptly sent the fan $1500 USD to cover the rent and issued his fan’s landlord a cold warning.

Johnson was a fan favorite in his 11-year NFL career, as his creative playmaking and flashy touchdown celebrations made him a must-watch on Sundays.

This isn’t the first time Ochocinco has made a generous gesture, as he often leaves huge tips on minuscule every day food purchases.
