The best KO in a boxing ring this year

Unless you’re the one on the wrong end of it, boxing knockouts don’t get much better than this. In fact this could well be the knockout of the year thus far?

Crisp, clean, powerful and instantaneous. That’s the best way to describe the way David Perez ended his bantamweight fight with Gustavo Molina in the US on Saturday night.

In what may be the best knockout since Canelo Alvarez’s right hand to the jaw of Amir Khan in May, Perez sent Molina to sleep in San Antonio.

Molina fell forward and then crumpled onto the canvas. Medical staff rushed to his aid and after a minute or so he was helped onto a chair. Molina was later seen talking.

The impressive win, which was Perez’s fourth knockout win, lifted the American fighter to 8-0 in his career.
