Bells Beach surfing postponed

World Surf League organisers plan to crown the men's winner at Bells Beach on Sunday.

Strong winds mean no competition on Saturday, a day after American Courtney Conlogue beat Australian Sally Fitzgibbons to win her first Bells title.

When the men resume, the first heat will be Australian Mick Fanning against young compatriot Davey Cathels.

Fanning is trying to win a record fifth Bells title before he takes a break from the sport.

It is unclear whether this will be the last time he competes at Bells.
