Trae Young hit a buzzer-beating three-pointer from beyond the half-court line to give the Atlanta Hawks a 124-121 victory over the Utah Jazz on Wednesday (AEDT).

Young took an inbounds pass, dribbled to just short of half-court and hit the mammoth 49-foot winner as time expired while being loosely guarded by Collin Sexton, who had seemingly forced overtime with a tying score with four seconds remaining.

He was flocked by teammates as the crowd inside Utah's Delta Center were left stunned by the remarkable final-second play.

Young finished with 24 points and 20 assists, while Australia's Dyson Daniels added 16 points seven assists, and six rebounds for the Hawks, who snapped a three-game skid.

Lauri Markkanen made a season-high eight three-pointers and scored a season-best 35 points for Utah, while Sexton added 24 points for the game.

Utah scored on five straight possessions and took a 114-113 lead in the dying stages, but it wasn't enough to hold off Young and the fast-finishing Hawks.
