Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards fined for obscene gesture at Lakers fan
Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves has been fined $78,000 AUD for directing inappropriate language and making an obscene gesture toward a fan during a playoff game against the Los Angeles Lakers, NBA president of league operations Byron Spruell announced.
Edwards intervened when teammate Rudy Gobert was being heckled in the third quarter by a Lakers fan courtside.
The Timberwolves went on to win 117-95 in game one of their first-round series on Saturday in Los Angeles.

Edwards, standing along the side line, told the nearby fan how many millions of dollars Gobert has.
The exchange ended with Edwards making a lewd gesture towards his crotch and mouthing "my dick is bigger than yours."
In this season alone, Edwards has been fined more than $448,000 AUD for multiple offenses, including flipping off a fan during a game, saying "f---" in a live interview, criticising officials and again saying inappropriate language in another postgame interview.
The Lakers and Timberwolves play the second game of their playoff series on Wednesday in Los Angeles.
