NBA: Veteran needs CPR to spark back into life

NBA champion Paul Pierce needed a little kick start to get humming against the Brooklyn Nets.

A kick start back to life that is.

The Los Angeles Clippers veteran alongside teammate Chris Paul provided one of the highlights of the match when Pierce missed a dunk during the second quarter.

Paul instigated a fast break when he pick-pocketed the Nets and sent Pierce flying to the bucket with a pretty behind-the-back pass.

However, the former Boston Celtics player was fouled in the shot and came crashing down on the floor.

Despite Pierce looking okay, Paul was taking no chances and administered emergency CPR just in case.

The light-hearted moment brought a round of laughter from the crowd, teammates and the commentary booth.

“That’s CPR from CP3,” said one commentator.

However, the veterans couldn’t combine to spark the Clippers with the Nets closing out a shock 127-122 win in overtime.
