NBA star Dwight Howard risks trouble with post game 'joke'

Dwight Howard might have gone a step too far in trying to keep his role as one of the ''funny guys'' of the NBA.

At face value the insinuation made by Howard during this post-game interview and the way his Atlanta Hawks teammate Dennis Schroder laughed gives an air of the duo using the letter ‘D’ to say one thing but mean another.

‘D’ stands for defence in basketball, but judging by the schoolboy grins it appears a double entendre is at play.

Dwight Howard and Dennis Schroder both seemed highly amused. 

The female interviewer, Rebecca Harlan, is the partner of NBA player Sam Dekker. She is doing her job and doesn’t deserve to be in such an uncomfortable position.

Howard was a teammate of Dekker’s in Houston last year.

Just as people were starting to criticise, Dekker chimed in on Twitter saying those involved all saw it as a good laugh.

We haven’t officially heard from Harlan yet. If she was in anyway uncomfortable with the tone of the chat, action may be taken.

Either way, Howard would be best served to grow up a bit.
