Kiwi NBA player stars in 'hilarious' US ad

A US bank has turned to a New Zealand NBA player and his Kiwi accent to star in a hilarious new advert.
Oklahoma City big man Steven Adams has developed a cult following amongst Thunder fans after being drafted in 2013 so BancFirst decided to exploit the giant Kiwi’s status.
In the clip, the 21-year-old pulls out old favourites from across the ditch including “choice” and “bach” (beachhouse) along with phrases that are common on either side of the Tasman like “spit the dummy” and “hard yakka”.

Obviously, what Adams is saying is a complete mystery to the American audience so subtitles were essential.
All in all, it’s an advert worthy of a “chocolate fush”.
