Basketball's 'most excitable coach' breaks down with tears of joy

An American basketball coach who's become renowned for his sideline antics has made headlines again, though this time for letting his emotions pour out in a press conference.

Georgia State's Ron Hunter has attracted a huge online following for his over the top reactions after twice taking a spill while celebrating victories.

Last week, Hunter had to be helped off the court after injuring his achilles tendon after the school's 38-36 Sun Belt Conference tournament championship win over Georgie Southern.

The win secured Georgia State a spot in the NCAA Championships for the first time since 2001.

Then, in the first game of the Championships, the recovering coach tumbled off his chair after his son, R.J. Hunter, hit the winning points against the highly rated Baylor.

And now it seems not even losing can stop the emotionally charged coach from finding the bright side of life.In Georgia State's post match press conference, Hunter said he told his team to revel in their achievements despite their 75-67 exit to Xavier."I told them not to be sad," Hunter told journalists. "What a great week, unbelievable week, there's nothing to be sad about, especially for me, I'll be honest with you, the greatest week of my life. The greatest time I've ever had to be a father. "I don't want these guys to be sad man, we helped Georgia State out. Georgia State people know about Georgia State. We'll be back, we're going to get some young guys, but it's not even about that right now."Hunter then turned to his son, sitting next to him at the table, put a hand on his shoulder and let the last of his emotions pour out for one final time. "As a coach, the best time of my life," Hunter said before tears of joy swallowed the last of his statement. "But as a father, I love this kid man, love him."
