Baseballer dives into crowd for stunning catch

Toronto third baseman Josh Donaldson pulled off a stunning catch after diving into the crowd to grab the ball during a MLB clash between the Blue Jays and Tampa Bay Rays.

With Toronto pitcher Marco Estrada eyeing a perfect game, Donaldson proved the right man to help his cause when he chased a foul pop up during the eighth inning, desperate to claim an out.

With the ball heading beyond the fence the Blue Jays star showed no concern for self-preservation, lunging full length over the boundary fence and into the fans to glove the catch.

It came as Estrada had yet to allow a single baserunner in the game.

Unfortunately, Donaldson's effort to keep a clean sheet for his pitcher was all to no avail with the Blue Jays next batter hitting to the infield for a single.

But at least the Blue Jays emerged victors with a 1-0 win.
