Baseball manager ejected for bizarre tantrum

Sydney Blue Sox manager Jason Pospishil has been ejected from an ABL game after throwing one of the more bizarre tantrums ever seen in baseball.

The manager blew a fuse at the top of the second innings against the Adelaide Bite when a questionable call at third base went against his team.

The home side looked to have tagged an Adelaide runner, but officials, in a move which infuriated coaches and fans alike, called the player safe.

Footage of the incident shows Pospishil confronting the umpires and angrily questioning the decision.

But when it was made clear the call would not be changed, Pospishil suffered a full blown meltdown.

Throwing his hat to the ground and then kicking it across the field, the manager then tried to make his point by drawing a line in the sand.

And when the fed-up umpires finally decided to send the irate Pospishil from the ground, he departed by hurling the offending base into the adjoining beer garden at the Blacktown International Sportspark.
