Australia seal trans-Tasman bowls title

Australia have wrapped up the trans-Tasman bowls title with a day to spare on Queensland's Gold Coast.

The host nation can't be caught in the men's and women senior and junior events, nor the para-bowls contest after two of the three days such are their leads.

Australia prevailed in eight out of 10 contests in Thursday evening's last session, to secure a consecutive Test victory in all five events.

The third and final day will serve as a lead-in to a seven-nation event, also at Broadbeach Bowls Club, which is host venue for next year's Commonwealth Games.
