Dad ‘shatters’ world record with insane run pushing baby in pram
A dad has made history with his baby in Cleveland for the fastest mile while pushing a stroller in the Guardian Mile.
Stephen Biebelhausen ran a 4:17 mile, which is approximately nine seconds under the record for the event.

In context of the current elite mile runners on the world stage, Australia’s Cameron Myers ran a 3.55 mile for the silver medal at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, which is only around 20 seconds faster.
The current record for the fastest mile pushing a stroller by a man is 4:26:29, which means if Biebelhausen’s time is recognised by Guinness World Records, he would smash the record.
His nearest competitor with a stroller finished 15 seconds behind him.
“That baby...look at the legs! That baby thinks it’s running,” the commentators said on the stream.
“Its legs are moving, it’s going turbo. If I was a dad, I’d say ’let’s get the legs in, let’s get aerodynamic. This baby is going nuts.
“He looks composed and confident...he has shattered the outright world record. Oh my goodness, that was incredible.”
Although relatively unknown, Biebelhausen was a college distance runner at the Miami University, running in the NCAA Division 1 RedHawks program.
His best 1500m time was 3:48.11, ninth on the school’s all-time list and his results include a 4:06 indoor mile.
The stroller mile has become a real record at most running events, with mum Kaitlin Donner holding the world record on the women’s side with a time of 5:11.
