A US college basketball player sent fans into a frenzy after nailing an amazing 360 degree, between-the-legs dunk shot during a dunk contest.

Mississippi Community College player C.J. Polite delivered the gem while competing in this year's NCAA dunk contest.

Showing the sort of skill that's more synonymous with the NBA, Polite charged toward the hoop and leapt in the air, before pushing the ball between his legs and spinning 360 degrees and then completing the dunk.

The shot sent fans into crazy and has earned the Bears player, who has quite a catalogue of great slam dunks, a place up with the very best trick shot shooters.
