Alex Hanan has been left to lament a pre-fight jab on Andrei Mikhailovich after going down to his bitter rival via a second-round TKO.

Despite being the undercard to Paul Gallen's fight with Justis Huni, the fight between the two New Zealanders promised plenty of fireworks with Hanan ending the weigh-in with a pointed gun symbol as he walked away.

The bad blood between the pair almost spilled over as both men came to touch gloves when Hanan jabbed Mikhailovich in the stomach after his opponent called him a "b---h".

"That is not in the spirit of what we're doing here," said Main Event's Ben Damon.

"Mikhailovich is not at all happy with being punched in the stomach at the touch of gloves."

Mikhailovich ended up getting the win through a sweet left hook in the 2nd round via TKO.

While both men expressed much hate for each other in the lead up, they embraced and and buried the hatchet after the fight.

"Fights take the bad blood out of s--- but Alex and I, we're all sweet now, we'll be friends for life now," Mikhailovich said.

"Whenever you share a fight someone there's always that respect afterwards so that's all there is to it."
