Surgery stalls Yarran's AFL season start

Richmond recruit Chris Yarran has suffered another AFL injury setback, with foot surgery to sideline him for about six weeks.

The former Carlton utility needs an operation to fix plantar fascia tissue in his left foot.

Only last week, the Tigers were optimistic that Yarran might be in the frame for an early-season return after he recovered well from a calf muscle injury.
