Adelaide young gun Dan Curtin was stretchered off the training track on Monday with a dislocated left knee cap, the club has confirmed in a statement.
The 20-year-old midfielder will undergo scans to determine the extent of his injury.
It's believed it was suffered during a wrestling drill.

"The club will provide a further update once medical staff have a full assessment," the statement said.
There is a possibility he won't be fit to play in round one, in which Adelaide will meet Collingwood at the MCG on March 14.

Injury carnage has rocked the AFL this pre-season, with Carlton's Jesse Motlop and North Melbourne's Jackson Archer suffering season-ending ACL ruptures.
Essendon's Nic Martin will also miss the 2026 season, having suffered further damage to his right knee in November on the comeback trail from ACL surgery.
Darcy Moore (calf), Jeremy Howe (calf), Clayton Oliver (calf), Toby Greene (hamstring), Will Day (shoulder) and Taylor Adams (Achilles) are among the many other players who've suffered injuries over the summer.
