Collingwood coach Craig McRae unharmed as car smashed by speeding driver

Collingwood coach Craig McRae is going to have to find a new way to get to the MCG on Saturday, after an out of control vehicle hit and totalled his parked car on Friday.

The 52-year-old was not in the car at the time of the incident, which occurred in Williamstown, and no one was injured.

The speeding Mercedes lost control down a residential street, hitting three parked cars, including McRae's SUV.

The Mercedes is reportedly worth as much as $130,000.

All three cars hit, including McRae's SUV, are said to be quite badly damaged, meaning a rather hefty bill will certainly be coming the driver's way.

Witnesses contacted by SEN have stated the speeding vehicle smashed into the Collingwood coach's car, before spinning off into a nearby street.

When contacted by WWOS, Collingwood confirmed that nobody was harmed in the crash.

It's been an eventful month for McRae, who was recently forced to publicly deny rumours regarding the state of his marriage that were spreading online.

After defeating St Kilda in Opening Round, Collingwood now hosts Adelaide at the MCG on Saturday night, in a rematch of last year's qualifying final.

The Pies will once again be without captain Darcy Moore, as the club takes a conservative approach with his return from a calf injury.
