'On the right path': Luke Beveridge hints at contract extension with Western Bulldogs
Western Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge has hinted at news of a possible contract extension in the near future.
Beveridge is one of two coaches in the AFL without a contract for 2026, the other being Port Adelaide's Ken Hinkley, whose departure has already been announced.
The Dogs and their coach have previously stated their intention to take their time on an extension, given their struggles in recent seasons.

However, the Dogs have been one of the form sides of the season to date and Beveridge says progress is quickly being made on an extension.

"I know we've both been talking, the club and I, in similar terms around stability and then sustainability ... the opportunity of success comes along," Beveridge told Fox Footy.
"I think we're stable, but again, we're stable this week. Not that you need a hell of a lot of luck, but you've got to ride your fortunes.
"I think we're sort of morphing into this partnership again where we're looking at sustainability ... I think we're reasonably content we're on the right path
"As far as formalising something goes, it may not be too far away."
Beveridge added that a deal was possible around the mid-point of the season.
The 2016 premiership coach has previously stated that if he is not coaching at the Kennel next year, he won't be coaching anywhere else.
The Bulldogs face a big challenge on Thursday night, coming up against Geelong and Bailey Smith for the first time in rival colours.
