Disgraced former AFL player Tarryn Thomas has been rejected in his bid to reignite his footy career at West Australian club Swan Districts.

Just 48 hours after Thomas arrived in Perth to begin a two-week trial at Swan Districts, the club has opted against recruiting him.

"Swan Districts in Western Australia have just emailed their members just 48 hours after Thomas landed in Perth," said 9News' Tom Morris.

"Now, in the letter, they said, 'We will not recruit Thomas and wish him every success in the future'.

"Now, Swan Districts needed to be satisfied Thomas was willing to change and that the club had enough resources to support him. They clearly felt the 24-year-old couldn't meet one or both of these key requirements."

Swan Districts' rejection of Thomas comes less than a week after VFL club the Northern Bullants did the same.

Thomas was banned from playing football at all levels last February after he was found guilty of conduct unbecoming by the AFL's integrity unit, which ruled he'd "engaged in multiple acts of misconduct including threatening a woman via direct messages."

He was then sacked by North Melbourne.

But last week, the AFL ruled he was allowed to sign with a VFL club not affiliated with the AFL.

At this stage, no other suitors have emerged.
