'I've had an idiot just back into me!': AFL great in car accident on live radio
David Schwarz had an awkward moment on live radio on Thursday morning, with the former Melbourne great involved in a minor car accident.
The interview on SEN WA's breakfast programming started with the loud honk of his car horn, signally something had just gone quite wrong.
"Mate, I've had an idiot just back into me," Schwarz said to the surprise of co-hosts Tim Gossage and Scott Cummings.

"Can you believe that? He's just touched me. What a dickhead. God.
"I've just got a parking fine and I have pulled out and a bloke has just backed into me, what a goose!
"He's only just touched me. I've got his number plate. I'll track him down later on. I've had a great start to the moment."

Cummings, a former AFL Coleman Medallist, found the situation quite amusing, laughing through the explanation.
Schwarz has been a regular on SEN's programming since returning to the station in 2024.
He played 173 games for Melbourne between 1991 and 2002 before joining the media. He presented club debutants Harvey Langford, Aidan Johnson, Xavier Lindsay, Jack Henderson, Harry Sharp and Matthew Jefferson with their jumpers in round one.
