'Wasn't good enough': Carlton gun's candid admission after horror start to the season as Blues slump to 0-4
Carlton defender Jack Silvagni says his side will draw on past experiences to try and lift themselves out of the deepening hole they find themselves in.
The Blues only managed 46 points in their Thursday night loss to Collingwood and have now slipped to 0-4 to start the season.
They are yet to kick 80 points in a game and are -110 in second halves across the four games.

Silvagni spoke to his frustrations following another tough loss.
"I think it's pretty obvious that what we dished up wasn't good enough. We're really disappointed with the way we have started the year," Silvagni told 3AW in the rooms post match.
"We know it's a long year, but we've got to have some honest conversations and that'll happen during the week, but it is disappointing.
"We've shown glimpses, but glimpses doesn't cut it at AFL footy ... it's not good enough."
Carlton found themselves in a very similar hole in the middle of 2023, winning just one game between round four and round 13.
They would then rally to ultimately make a preliminary final in what was a fairy tale run and Silvagni says they will call on that experience to prove to themselves they can do it.
"We'll draw on past experiences. The back end of 2023 we started the year poorly, but finished really strongly. Drawing on that, taking confidence out of the good stuff we have shown, obviously the end results aren't going our way and that's the cut and thrust of it all, but it's something we'll look at I guess," he said.
"We need to get to work, train hard, review games and that sort of stuff."
Carlton coach Michael Voss said the club's third quarter against the Pies, where they conceded four goals unanswered, was unacceptable.
"Certainly the way we played the first half gave us encouragement to suggest that we could continue. There were certainly no signs to suggest that that was going to drop off. But, ultimately, the third quarter was unacceptable," he said.
"And we talk about this game and about styles, but the reality is that the game is played at the contest first and we absolutely were disappointing in that area in the third quarter.
"So we lost territory and couldn't get ball flow, (that made it) hard to defend the way we wanted to. The ball would come out, we'd lose the contest and the ball would go back in.

"You go back to the stoppage (and) they were cleaner, they were tougher around the ball and they dialled up the pressure and we didn't handle it.
"So that'll be something that we'll review strongly. We've already had a really honest chat about that within the rooms. But that is not us."
Carlton next faces West Coast in Gather Round, before taking on North Melbourne on Good Friday.
