A blunder before Adelaide's preliminary final against Brisbane in the AFLW on Saturday night has left patrons in stitches.

When the Crows ran out onto Brighton Homes Arena, instead of their song, rivals Port Adelaide's theme rang through the ground.

And it wasn't just the opening few seconds. It was the entire song.

It kicked off a night to forget for the Crows, who eventually went down to the reigning premiers by 18 points.

"Oh dear," AFL.com.au's Michael Whiting said on X.

"The entire Port Adelaide team song played as Adelaide ran on to Brighton Homes Arena. Then the Crows song followed.

"Oops."

Former AFLW Lions player Kate McCarthy labelled it a smart move by the hosts.

"Mind games already at Brighton Homes Arena. Port Adelaide theme song played as the Crows make their way out onto the field," she said on X.

Fans were also quick to note the mistake.

"BHA playing the Port Adelaide song LOL," one wrote on X.

Gun Crows midfielder Ebony Marinoff's 30 disposals weren't enough to get her side over the line, as the Lions dominated after half time.

In the third, Brisbane booted four unanswered goals, with key forward Dakota Davidson booting two on the night.

It wasn't a night to remember for the Power, either.

They went down to North Melbourne by a whopping 57 points in their preliminary final at IKON Park.

Ash Riddell and Jess Garner had 28 disposals each for the Roos in the dominant victory.

The AFLW grand final is now set to be a 2023 rematch, with the Roos and Lions set to face off next Saturday night at IKON Park.
