Sydney Swans great Matthew Nicks named to coach Adelaide Crows in AFL

Matthew Nicks has been appointed coach of AFL club Adelaide.
The 44-year-old replaces Don Pyke, who quit last month.
Nicks was a senior assistant coach at GWS last season, joining the Giants after filling various assistant coaching roles at Port Adelaide since 2011.

Nicks played 175 games for the Sydney Swans over a 10-season playing career. He kicked 125 goals for the Swans.
