'I'd be gutted': Leaked Gold Coast Suns design deleted after AFL error

The Gold Coast Suns' new logo appears to have been accidentally revealed days before the official unveiling on Friday.

Fans got the jump on what looks to be the club's new logo, with the AFL believed to have accidentally uploaded the image as part of its Gold Coast AusKick welcome pack. 

The uploaded design was quickly removed.

"I'm not allowed to confirm whether that is the logo," Suns CEO Mark Evans said. 

"If it was the logo, I'd be gutted, but there have been a few versions out there. 

"Come on down on Friday, and we'll unveil it there."

The new logo the club will unveil this week is set to be symbolic of a fresh start for the Suns, a key selling point in enticing Collingwood recruit John Noble to head to Gold Coast.

"I wouldn't be coming here if I didn't think the club was in a positon to be playing finals and push for a premiership," Noble said.

He was denied a finals opportunity with Collingwood, but is confident of finding his way to September with the Suns.

"The young talent is insane in my opinion," he said.

"To play hungry footy the way they did this year and to be honest not playing finals was unlucky."
