Veteran GWS midfielder Ryan Griffen could be out of action for a month and teammate Nathan Wilson is set to miss a fortnight in the AFL.

Griffen strained his hamstring at training last week and will miss three to four weeks.

Wilson has groin soreness and missed last weekend's upset loss to Collingwood.

The Giants now expect him to be out of action for two to three weeks.

But defender Tim Mohr could return through the NEAFL this week after seven weeks out with a hamstring injury.

Griffen's contested ball work and Wilson's speed are major assets for GWS.

The Collingwood loss cost GWS a spot in the top four and sent them sliding to seventh.
