Gary Ablett 'possibly picking and choosing' which games he plays according to Matthew Lloyd
Gary Ablett is one of the most discussed, debated and analysed players in the AFL this year, and he finds himself the subject of a new theory following his absence from Gold Coast’s game on Saturday.
The 33-year-old missed his side's trip to Cairns, raising the eyebrows of those who believe he's being selective in the games he plays.
"I reckon it's a 'watch this space'," Matthew Lloyd said.
“I can’t wait for every Thursday night for the next five weeks to see whether Gary plays or he doesn’t,
“Part of me thinks he’s possibly picking and choosing.”
It’s not the first time the dual Brownlow medallist has missed games sporadically.
Ablett has missed four games on four separate occasions this season, including back in Round 10, Round 14, Round 16, and now Round 18.
The Suns have put the missed games down to a shoulder, calf and two hamstrings respectively, all of which Ablett has returned the next week, aside from the most recent injury which is yet to be determined.
