The AFL has been granted permission to allow fans to attend games in Victoria from round two, with crowd numbers to be at 75 per cent of capacity at stadiums, according to The Age.

The decision will come into effect from March 25 and will see more than 75,000 fans attend the Carlton v Collingwood at the MCG on Thursday.

Geelong's Friday night match against Brisbane will now be able to host 26,650 fans instead of a previous limit of 18,000.
