Adelaide skipper Taylor Walker faces a nervous wait for the tribunal after being put on report in the first quarter of the Crows' clash against Geelong.

Midway through the first term, a ball was in dispute deep in Adelaide's attacking 50 when Cats defender Zach Tuohy put his head over the ball, parrying it away from the oncoming Walker.

In a spectacular brain fade, Walker took out the Irishman with his shoulder, connecting Tuohy flush on the jaw.

Fans on social media were up in arms in their opinion on Walker's act, labeling the Adelaide skipper's attempt at the ball "a dog act".

Tuohy underwent the concussion protocol following Walker's hit, but was ruled to be able to return to the game.

Walker's suspension would be a death-knell to what has been a desperately disappointing season for last year's minor premiers who have struggled with form and consistency all season.
