Bailey Smith and his sunglasses were the headline act on the Brownlow Medal red carpet, and he wasn't in too much of a talking mood when it came to the TV cameras.

Nine's Tom Morris and Tony Jones were interviewing players with Smith in their sights.

The Geelong Cats superstar, wearing those eye-catching sunglasses, was spotted by Jones who asked "hey Bailey, how you feeling?"

The 24-year-old will be front and centre in Geelong's bid for a premiership when the grand final comes around on September 27.

On the red carpet as well was his teammate Jeremy Cameron who described the week as "decent".

"Tonight's a big one ... should poll well," he joked.

"We've got a couple of guys who should poll well, so I'm looking forward to it" before adding "I'm hungry" as he departed.
