Two outfielders made a colossal mistake Wednesday, resulting in one getting hit in the face by the ball and gifting the opposition batter a home run.
The highs and lows of life were encapsulated in the one fateful play inside in Cincinnati's Great American Ball Park.
On one side you had Chicago's Anthony Rizzo celebrating his first ever inside-the-park home run, managing to bat in two other runners as well.
That, however, came at the expense of Billy Hamilton's face, which copped a baseball from 333-yards.
The ball sliced off fellow outfielder Adam Duvall's glove and cannoned into Hamilton's face, leaving him prone of the ground.
Hamilton remained on the ground in pain before eventually leaving the game.
