NFL player wows Cowell with magic

Professional NFL player Jon Dorenbos has begun laying plans for NFL retirement, showing off his magic skills on America's Got Talent and wowing Simon Cowell.

The Philadelphia Eagles long-snapper strode on stage looking like any other contestant and even when he introduced himself only a few people in the audience seemed to register who he was.

He told the judges the NFL stood for "Not For Long" so he wanted to make sure he had something to fall back on when he finished - magic was the obvious conclusion.

Initially dubious about how good a meat-head footballer could be, the judges were slowly more and more amazed by his progressive card trick.

And with his big reveal he got the crowd on their feet and left a dumb look of amazement on the notoriously bad-tempered Cowell's face.
