Samsung sure knows how to make an announcement! At their Galaxy Unpacked event in July, they announced the new Galaxy Z range of smartphones, the new edition Galaxy Buds and two new Galaxy Watches.

Each incorporates Galaxy AI to make day-to-day usage of the devices easier and more advanced, with Eric Chou, the Head of Mobile eXperience at Samsung Electronics Australia saying they are "pushing the boundaries of what's possible with AI-driven features."

Now finally selling in Australia, you can finally get your hands on some new Samsung tech. Here is everything you need to know about all the latest Samsung smartphones, smartwatches and earphones.

Smartphones

After introducing Galaxy AI into the Samsung Galaxy S24 range earlier this year, this feature has now been included in their 2024 Galaxy Z series. Not only that, but these new smartphones are the slimmest and lightest seen in the 2024 Galaxy Z series and are built with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 – the most powerful Snapdragon mobile processor yet.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 is the largest of the two new Galaxy Z smartphones with a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X main screen and a 6.3-inch HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X cover screen. Weighing just 239g, it easily folds symmetrically using its slim Dual Rail FlexHinge. Users can access multiple apps at a time on both sides of the screen without delay, with both displays boasting a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Galaxy Z Fold6 has an advanced Rear Triple Camera system with a 50MP wide-angle camera, a 12MP ultra-wide angle camera and a 10MP telephoto camera. It also has a 10MP selfie camera with a 4MP under-display camera on the main screen.

Weighing just 187g, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 has a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X main screen and a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED cover screen. Using FlexMode, you can use the phone in different ways and what's most comfortable for you: unfolded, sitting upright or completely folded down. For added personalisation, the FlexWindow feature allows customisation on the cover screen with unique wallpapers and animations.

FlexCam with Auto Zoom lets users sit the phone upright to take hands-free photos. It uses a Dual Rear Camera System with a 50MP wide camera with 2x optical zoom and a 12MP ultra-wide camera along with a 10MP selfie camera on the main screen.

These active noise-cancelling earphones both take a huge leap in functionality with their blade-like design. Their Blade Lights provide more intuitive controls like swiping to adjust the volume, pinching to pause and play music and pinching and holding to launch an app on your device. You can also use voice commands to pause and play music without touching the buds.

The Galaxy Buds3 is an open-type earbud to hear more noise from your surroundings to stay present in your environment while sitting comfortably in your ears. They offer up to six hours of battery life and 30 hours of total power when using with the charging case.

The Galaxy Buds3 Pro are canal-type earbuds designed for a deeper and more immersive sound that fit securely in your ears. They offer an Ambient Mode setting to hear both your music and surrounding sounds clearly without disruption. You'll have up to to five hours of battery life and to 29 hours of total power when using with the charging case.

Extremely intuitive, these earbuds use 360 Audio to create a spatial sound experience and pinpoint the direction of noises as you move your head. They also have an in-app finder, so if you lose a bud, you can locate it in the Samsung app on your device.

Available in Bluetooth and LTE models, the Samsung Galaxy Watch7 tracks over 100 different workouts, monitors heart rate, blood pressure, body composition and ECG, and provides your Energy Score and Wellness Tips to help recover after exercise. This smartwatch also pairs with the Samsung Health app to log your food and water intake, receive personalised sleep coaching and track menstrual cycles for female wearers.

The Galaxy Watch7 also includes the Race feature. This compares your previous workout performances to track your fitness progress. It is also the first Galaxy smartwatch to include a Dual-Frequency GPS system to better determine your location.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra is the most powerful smartwatch in the Galaxy range. Designed for outdoor use, it has a rugged appearance with a Titanium Grade 4 frame and 10ATM water-resistance rating. It can also withstand temperatures from -20°C to 49°C.
