My barrel pants are the comfiest items in my wardrobe. These are the best picks of the trending style

My wardrobe is slowly filling up with barrel pants – whether jeans, trousers, or linen, this style is becoming a firm favourite of mine. Why? Because they offer an unmatched blend of comfort and style.

Barrel pants (or barrel-leg jeans) are a trending pant style defined by a high or mid-rise waist, a relaxed, voluminous and bowed-out shape through the thighs, and a distinct taper at the ankle. The style creates a structured, sculptural silhouette that is both casual and chic.

As someone with bigger legs, I thought I'd look silly in a barrel style, but I'm obsessed – they look effortlessly cool.

The tapered ankle means you can wear them with a simple sandal in the day, or a heel for an elevated evening look. I bought the Assembly Label Lola Barrel Pants a couple of weeks ago, and have not taken them off ever since (literally).
