Despite the many parts you receive, it's all very simple, and the operation is refreshingly intuitive with its digital interface – you choose your drink, lock in the portafilter, pour your milk, and it essentially does the rest. The machine also provides a great starter kit of accessories and cleaning essentials, plus an array of manuals and inspiration guides.
The Dual Froth System is an immediate standout. It will automatically steam, whisk or cold-foam milk with precision. My first few tryouts have already produced brilliant, smooth cafe-style microfoam. And don't worry, coffee connoisseurs, you have the option to manually steam the milk too.
Another feature that is quickly proving its worth is the Barista Assist Technology, and with minimal input already, the Luxe Cafe seems to have already fine-tuned itself with smooth shots layered with a rich layer of crema.
The integrated 25-setting conical burr grinder and weigh-based dosing system also make a great, strong first impression. The grinds are fresh and uniform, and storage even has a UV-protected cover to keep the beans fresh for longer.
