Dyson has released a new toothbrush - with a camera?

Do you ever worry about getting into all the nooks and crannies when brushing your teeth? Scared that you can’t quite see all the gaps and the areas behind the teeth properly? Well, it seems Dyson has a solution.
We’re used to Dyson technology cleaning our homes or styling our hair to perfection, so the brand tapping into oral hygiene is… interesting, to say the least. Could this new toothbrush (a term which truly minimises its abilities) be a game-changer?

The Dyson CameraJet is a first of its kind for the premium technology brand. It combines a sonic electric toothbrush, an AI-powered camera, and an automatic water flosser, all in one device.
The brand claims the Dyson CameraJet supports oral health with its customisable design by improving gum health and plaque removal (apparently removing up to 69 per cent more plaque than market-leading electric toothbrushes), reducing sensitivity, providing fresher breath, and whitening teeth.
It also comes in two colourways: Ceramic Ultra Blue and Ceramic Pink.

How does the Dyson CameraJet work?
The electric toothbrush features a 100k pixel macro lens camera, powered by Gap Optical Targeting, which is used to target gaps and precision-floss while you brush your teeth. Once detected, the jet sprays mouthwash to remove plaque as you brush, while the contoured brush cleans the gum line. When connecting the Dyson CameraJet to the app, you can watch live cleaning footage, plus access guided cleaning to support oral health.

Gap Optical Targeting and AI camera: The tiny lens camera is positioned near the brush head, analysing 28 live images per second – put simply, that’s a detailed view of those pearly whites. For the precision floss, the toothbrush uses AI trained on 470,000 dental images, the brush tracks, detects, and predicts the gaps between the teeth to help prevent plaque build up.
Conical jet and antigravity tank: Once the toothbrush detects a gap, a pump fires the liquid flosser (mouthwash) to remove plaque. The tank is designed to eliminate air pockets so you can trust the mouthwash will spray even when the toothbrush is held at different angles.
Sonic brushing: The brush uses sonic oscillation to prevent stalling, contoured dual bristles for lifting stains and sweeping gum lines, and RFID tracking so you receive alerts when the brush head needs to be replaced.
App connectivity: The Dyson CameraJet connects to the MyDyson App via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, with the app providing real-time insights into your mouth and cleaning.
Smart refill docking station: When docked in the charging station, the toothbrush is automatically refilled with fluid at the push of a button.
Dedicated extras: The toothbrush has been designed to be used with Dyson’s custom non-foaming toothpaste and low-foaming mouth rinse, but other options can be used for ease.
