How to get the Dyson Airwrap on sale

The Dyson Airwrap is the unicorn of all hair tools – great design that styles easily, clever engineering that works on various hair types, and no damaging heat styling. It has stumped and amazed women the world over by helping them achieve the perfect blowout, and for that reason, it's a pretty pricey investment.

You can now get $150 off the Airwrap. Usually $849, retailers are selling them for $699 if you know where to look.

What's to love about the Airwrap?

If you've never heard of the Airwrap (I'd be very surprised), it's a multi-faceted tool released by Dyson that has revolutionised at-home hairstyling. As our reliance on hairdryers and straighteners began to take over in the early 2010s, we began to realise the damage we were doing to our locks.

Instead of using heat, the Airwrap styles the hair using the Dyson-founded Coanda effect, which attracts hair through the use of an air vortex, wrapping it around the barrel attachments of the styler. More than just curling the hair though, the Airwrap has drying brush attachments, and other technology to help you manage flyaways and neaten your styling overall.

The Airwrap is super-quiet, so you can forget worrying about waking up your household with your loud hairdryer in the morning. Once you get the hang of it, it's also really easy to use, with a lot of reviewers claiming it takes them less than 10 minutes to style and curl their hair in the morning. The latest version of the Airwrap also recommends a curling routine according to your hair, creating a styling profile with a system called 'i.d. curl', which is shared via the My Dyson app.

Whether to buy an Airwrap is usually a long-term decision, involving months of weighing up the cost of a regular blowout against one you can do at home. This makes the discount all the more enticing, as you can save some of your hard-earned cash and still make that investment you've been dreaming of.

Is the Airwrap the right product for you?

While there's no doubt the Airwrap will work on whatever type of hair you have, you might not be after the blown-out look it delivers. Personally, I'm trying to train my wayward curls to sit nicely, so while I don't need the magic of an Airwrap, I am coveting a Dyson Supersonic hairdryer.
