Woman unpacks world's most exclusive dating app - from sleeping with sports stars to celebrity profiles

An anonymous single woman has unravelled the seductive mystique of exclusive dating app Raya, a platform for high-profile people swiping for "love".

Detailing her experience on the app known for it's tough verification process and 100,000 person strong waiting list, the woman confirmed A-List celebrities like single Harry Styles and Magic Mike star Channing Tatum were using it.

Still, very little is known about the app that was officially launched in 2015, due to it's strict privacy policy.

To join, users must first be referred by an existing member, and then their application is voted on by a membership committee, with acceptance rates as low as eight per cent.

Previous users have included model and actress Cara Delevinge, Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke and comedian Amy Schumer - who claims to have met her now husband on the app.

In the exclusive community of 10,000 members worldwide, a woman named Brit* who works in the entertainment industry told Mail Online that her Instagram profile was checked to see how many celebrity friends she had on the app.

For the two years she used the platform, Brit claims to have been on 20 dates - sharing her conclusions about the celebrity crowd she's been swinging with.

"Comedians are often short-tempered, not funny in real life and in desperate need of validation; also, the worst in bed by far," she explained.

"Comedians are like grown-up babies — always in need of attention and on the brink of an inexplicable tantrum."

Brit also revealed actors "take themselves and their art very seriously", likening themselves to "demi-gods" while "Sportsmen don't do sarcasm but are generally outstanding between the sheets."

Similar to Tinder and Bumble, Brit says the app works on the basis that two people must "like" one another's profiles in order to begin chatting.

However, the key difference lies in the app's secrecy, with users regularly kicked off the platform for "screenshotting" the profile of another user.

Swipers on Raya even receive a notification informing them if someone has attempted to "save" their profile - as possible use for publicity.

As for profile pics that are used by celebs on Raya, dogs and shirtless photos appear to be widely replaced by paparazzi shots.
