A woman has gone viral after revealing the genius hack she uses to catch out creepy guys at the gym.

In a video posted to TikTok, Emily shared the hack – commencing the video with a clip of a guy intensely watching her at the gym.

"So if you ever have that feeling that there's a creeper staring at you, but you don't want to actually look at them and risk making eye contact, I've got a trick for you," she begins.

Emily uses her husband to demo the hack, panning the camera to a shot of his feet at a weight bench.

"Point your camera down low and just pretend you're texting—totally not suspicious. Without moving your phone, switch to wide angle and now you're able to see their face and whether or not they're staring at you," she says.

As the clip continues, Emily switches the camera lens to a wide angle which reveals his entire body – which shows where he is looking.

In the comment, Emily explains that in order to switch to a wide lens you have to, "Zoom out! Regular says 1x at the bottom. Switch it to .5x or .6x."
