One woman was shocked to discover a completely different parcel in the mail after ordering a backpack online.

TikToker Chloe Chapdelaine was visibly confused by the much smaller package that was delivered, claiming she "got scammed".

In a video posted to TikTok, the American began by showing her 397,200 followers a picture of the large green backpack she had actually ordered.

Chapdelaine then held up the much smaller parcel she received instead.

"Could this backpack fit instead of this package?" she asked rhetorically, shaking her head 'no' profusely and adding a TikTok sound saying 'no' repeatedly.

"It says that they sent me casual shoes and that the value is $12.

"Now, it should be an Osprey backpack with the value being around $300."

After opening the parcel, the first item the TikToker found inside was an empty gift bag.

Chapdelaine humorously asked if it would work as a makeshift backpack before jokingly trying to fit her arms through the straps and claiming she would wear it on her travels.

"I'm devastated," she then told her followers before moving onto the second item inside the confusing package.

The next item appeared to be a ring box with the TikToker saying that it looked "hopeful".

The American then opened the box to reveal it was in fact a size 9 Cartier gold ring worth approximately $599.

"Is this better than the backpack?" Chapdelaine asked after seeing the expensive price tag on the designer item.

The TikToker then showed a close up of an engraving on the side of the ring that had the word 'love'. It also had the Cartier brand name engraved inside making its designer status seem even more legit.

"Now, I will admit I wasn't expecting my backpack to make it, so I had to file a fraud complaint with my bank," she told her followers.

Chapdelaine captioned the TikTok video: "My credit card got cancelled for this…", including the hashtag #scammeralert to warn people online.

"My mom ordered a vanity from a scam website and got a "los angles" hat," a third shared.

One person even claimed to have received the "exact same ring" in the mail.

Others encouraged the American to get the ring checked for its authenticity.

"Get the ring appraised please," one person pleaded.
