Man sends woman invoice for first date after she ignores his texts

A woman has been billed after ignoring a man’s request for a second date.

Amanda Burnett was left shocked when she received a text from a man she had recently gone out with, invoicing her for their date, according to The Sun.

The bill came soon after Amanda decided to ignore a text from him, after he had asked to see her again.

Although she thought it was rude not to reply to his second date request, the American forgot about it and moved on.

That was until she received a text, asking her to pay up.

Amanda was so outraged, she shared the man's bizarre request on Twitter.

The invoice stipulated $20 in bar costs and a further $14.50 for her pulled pork Tacos.

"A guy just mailed me a bill for our dinner a few weeks ago because I didn’t text him back…I can't make this **** up," Amanda tweeted.

Included on the invoice was a $1.99 "processing fee", sales tax of $2.56 and shipping and handling, costing $0.47.

In total, Amanda's date bill cost around $39.52 American dollars – roughly $50 Australian dollars.

Not surprisingly, the unlucky-in-love Amanda refused to pay.

But she was in for another rude shock.

He sent her another message, asking her to fork up – or risk the situation going further.

"And to avoid additional penalty or fines, have the invoice paid otherwise it will be turned into a collection agency," his text message read.

Amanda laughed off the threat.

But now, she's facing backlash online, after some Twitter users accused her of leaving the man hanging.

One user wrote, "Pay for your own meal if you don't have the decency to tell him things aren't working."

While another wrote, "If you don’t have the decency to text the guy back he's in every right to make you pay for the meal. Only fair!

"So many girls just expect the guy to pay for everything."

Either way, Amanda's now set her Twitter account to private to avoid any unwanted messages.
