Woman handed note by stranger in the park after breakup: 'He doesn't deserve you'

A woman was handed a heartwarming note by a stranger after going through a difficult breakup.

In a Reddit post, the New York City native revealed she was handed a note in the park after a girl overheard her phone call with her therapist.

"Going through the hardest break up with who I thought was the true love of my life," she told the Reddit forum MadeMeSmile.

The Reddit user shared that she was "absolutely shattered/gutted" over the breakup before sharing how much the random act of kindness meant.

The woman posted a photo of the napkin note she was given, which had "you seem like a wonderful person, and he doesn't deserve you" written on it with a love heart drawn.

"Whoever you are- you are an absolute angel," she wrote to the stranger who delivered the sweet uplifting message.

"This is pivotal in my healing.💌"

The woman had been sitting on a park bench next to a family when she said the daughter gave her the folded napkin note as they were leaving.

"Broke down and ugly cried so hard – shaking and everything," the woman said after she read the note.

"Time stood still. It still kind of does. I am so moved," she continued.

"This lifted me up more than anything...and as funny as it seems, this napkin is like the Mona Lisa to me – absolutely priceless."
