The ultimate gift wrapping Christmas prank

One woman has played the ultimate Christmas prank on her brother, by covering his Christmas present completely in cable ties.

The woman, who posted a photo of the gift to the Facebook group 'Christmas Mums' took the non-traditional route whilst gift-wrapping this year, opting instead to make it very difficult for the gift recipient to open his present.

She captioned the photo of the gift "Just finished wrapping my brother's Xmas present... game on bro."

The gift was wrapped in red wrapping paper then completely covered in white cable ties- which are impossible to remove without a decent pair of scissors or wire cutters.

Users on the Facebook group loved the idea and thought it was hysterical, with many saying that they can't wait to try it on their own family and friends.

"OMG I love it" one user said "Think I might do this to my eldest this year." While another added in an idea for their own Christmas wrapping prank.

"Last year I gave my father-in-law a box of beer but I wrapped all the cans individually." The user wrote. "He thought it was funny for the first few cans, then the novelty wore off for him but was hilarious for me!"

Another person thought of a way to take Christmas gift wrapping pranks to the next level, by suggesting giving him an empty box instead of a gift, to surprise him after he's gone to the effort of getting into the present.
