Woman slams fiancé for her tiny diamond engagement ring
After eight years together, one woman was clearly expecting a little more from her man when he finally got down on one knee.
Having spoken about getting married for three years and the groom-to-be "saving up" to buy the perfect engagement ring, the bride-to-be was left stunned when she was presented with a tiny diamond on the band.
She then slammed her new fiancé on what appears to be Twitter — a post which then found it's way onto a Reddit forum.
The anonymous woman's tweet was posted by a user who asked others: "Is this lady justified in that she doesn't want the ring? Would you accept it?"

Alongside a photo of her manicured left hand with the ring on, it appears the woman said yes but told her followers: "We been together for eight years and talking about getting married for almost three.
"Dis da the ring he said he saved up to buy me. Am I being shady or materialistic if I tell this mf [I don't] want this little a-- ring?" the woman asked followed by a weary and thinking face emojis.
"I'm not materialistic when it comes to things like this but if my man proposed with THAT I would be full on insulted," one person commented.
While another user jibed: "I'd just exchange it for a ring I like. Preferably a cheaper stone that you can see with the naked eye."
"There's no way somebody would buy this as an engagement ring. Nobody who cares about their SO [significant other] would get something this tiny," one person said.

Another user said while the couple may have been talking about getting married for a few years, they perhaps needed to talk budget and styles the bride-to-be would have liked.
They added: "I would not wear that ring, not because it's small, but because it's not my taste and I don't want to look at it everyday. Plus, my husband knew what I wanted because we talked about it. "
And the original poster couldn't agree more, saying: "That's my thoughts exactly. No way could I be with my partner for 8 years and for him to not know my taste/preferred style ."
While speaking about the now viral thread on breakfast TV, Good Morning Britain hosts hypothesised the diamond might have other features that make it more expensive - such as cut or clarity.
No word on whether the couple changed the ring...or indeed made it down the aisle.
